These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Auric Arts India website, including the purchase of our handmade furniture, home décor, handicrafts, custom furniture and related products.

By accessing our website, placing an order or purchasing any product from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use our website or place an order.

Because our products are handmade, individual pieces may contain natural variations and minor artisan characteristics.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary.

Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, photographs, colours and specifications are accurate.

However, handmade products may have minor differences from photographs or displayed samples. Natural materials such as Mother of Pearl, Bone Inlay, marble and wood may naturally vary in:

  • Colour
  • Veining
  • Grain
  • Texture
  • Pattern
  • Iridescence
  • Tone
  • Surface characteristics

Such variations are inherent characteristics of handcrafted products and do not automatically constitute a defect.

Product Photography and Colour

Colours displayed on your screen may differ from the actual product because of:

  • Monitor settings;
  • Mobile-device settings;
  • Photography lighting;
  • Camera settings;
  • Natural material variation;
  • Different material batches;
  • Finishing processes.

For high-value custom orders, customers may request samples where available.

Handmade Products

Our products are handcrafted rather than mass-produced.

Minor variations in dimensions, pattern placement, material appearance, texture and finish may occur.

By purchasing a handmade product, you acknowledge and accept the unique characteristics associated with artisan production.

Custom and Made-to-Order Products

Some products are manufactured specifically according to customer requirements. Customization may include:

  • Dimensions;
  • Shape;
  • Colour;
  • Material;
  • Mother of Pearl pattern;
  • Bone Inlay pattern;
  • Marble;
  • Wood;
  • Finish;
  • Hardware;
  • Drawer configuration;
  • Leg design;
  • Edge details;
  • Special design requirements.

Once a custom or made-to-order product enters production, cancellation may generally not be accepted.

Before production, we may provide drawings, renderings, dimensions, material details, colour references or other specifications for approval.

The customer is responsible for reviewing and approving the final specifications before production begins.

Customer Measurements

For customized furniture, the customer is responsible for providing and confirming accurate measurements.

Customers should verify:

  • Doorway dimensions;
  • Staircase dimensions;
  • Elevator dimensions;
  • Passage width;
  • Ceiling clearance;
  • Room dimensions;
  • Installation area;
  • Building access;
  • Parking/loading restrictions.

If the product is manufactured according to customer-approved dimensions and those dimensions are later unsuitable for the customer’s premises, the product will generally not qualify for a return or refund solely because of incorrect customer measurements, subject to applicable law.

Orders

An order is subject to acceptance by Auric Arts India.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • Product information contains a material error;
  • Pricing contains an obvious error;
  • The product is unavailable;
  • We are unable to manufacture the requested product;
  • Shipping to the destination is restricted;
  • Fraud or suspicious activity is suspected;
  • The order contains incorrect or incomplete information.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will arrange an applicable refund through the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Pricing

Product prices are displayed on the website or provided in quotations. Prices may be changed without prior notice before an order is confirmed.

Once a quotation has been accepted and payment has been received, the agreed product price will generally apply, subject to any subsequently agreed customization, shipping, tax, duty or other charges.

Taxes, Duties and Import Charges

All taxes, duties, customs charges and destination-country charges are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

For international orders, the customer is responsible for all applicable:

  • Import duties;
  • Customs duties;
  • VAT;
  • GST;
  • Sales tax;
  • Use tax;
  • Brokerage fees;
  • Customs clearance fees;
  • Handling charges;
  • Storage charges;
  • Government charges;
  • Import permits or related fees;
  • Other destination-country charges.

A shipping charge does not automatically mean that customs duties or destination taxes are included.

Unless a quotation or order confirmation expressly states that duties and taxes are included, all such charges are payable by the customer/consignee.

If a customer refuses to pay applicable customs duties or taxes, any resulting return, storage, handling, disposal, re-shipping or other charges may be charged to the customer.

International Shipping Terms

International orders may be shipped under DAP/DDU or another applicable shipping arrangement unless the quotation expressly states otherwise.

Where the quotation specifically states that the shipment is DDP, applicable duties and destination charges included in that DDP arrangement will be handled according to the quotation.

The quotation or order confirmation will determine whether any duties or taxes are included.

In the absence of an express written statement that duties and taxes are included, they remain the customer’s responsibility.

Payment

Payment must be completed through the payment method made available by Auric Arts India. Customers are responsible for providing accurate payment and billing information.

Orders may not enter production until the required payment has been received and cleared. For custom furniture, we may require full or partial advance payment before production.

Production Time

Production times vary according to the product and level of customization. Typical production estimates may include:

  • Ready-to-ship products: 3–7 business days;
  • Handmade furniture and décor: 10–30 business days;
  • Custom/made-to-order products: 20–60 business days.

These are estimates and not guaranteed production deadlines unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery times depend on destination, shipping method, customs clearance and carrier availability. Estimated international delivery is generally 10–20 business days after dispatch.

Large, oversized or freight shipments may require additional time.

Auric Arts India is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, carriers, freight companies, government authorities or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Additional charges may apply if:

  • The address is incorrect;
  • The customer requests an address change after dispatch;
  • Re-delivery is required;
  • The shipment is returned because of an incorrect address;
  • Special delivery arrangements are required.

Large Furniture Delivery

Customers purchasing large furniture are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location can accommodate the product.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, standard delivery does not necessarily include:

  • Assembly;
  • Installation;
  • Wall mounting;
  • Hoisting;
  • Crane services;
  • Staircase carrying;
  • Special installation;
  • Removal of old furniture;
  • Disposal of packaging.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including:

  • Product photographs;
  • Product descriptions;
  • Logos;
  • Brand names;
  • Designs;
  • Graphics;
  • Text;
  • Images;
  • Videos;
  • Layouts;
  • Original artwork;

is owned by or licensed to Auric Arts India and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Customer-Supplied Designs

Where a customer provides drawings, photographs, artwork or other designs for customization, the customer represents that they have the necessary rights or authorization to provide such material.

Auric Arts India is not responsible for intellectual-property rights relating to designs supplied by customers.

Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party providers for:

  • Payment processing;
  • Shipping;
  • Logistics;
  • Website hosting;
  • Analytics;
  • Marketing;
  • Communication;
  • Customer support.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Auric Arts India shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Force Majeure

Auric Arts India shall not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Fire;
  • Flood;
  • War;
  • Civil unrest;
  • Strikes;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Customs restrictions;
  • Transportation disruptions;
  • Carrier failures;
  • Epidemics or pandemics;
  • Power outages;
  • Material shortages;
  • Other extraordinary circumstances.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in India, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable to the customer under the laws that cannot legally be excluded.

Dispute Resolution

Customers are encouraged to contact Auric Arts India first so that we may attempt to resolve any concern amicably.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents a customer from exercising any mandatory statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

Auric Arts India may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to an order will generally be the version in effect when the order was placed, unless otherwise required by applicable law.Contact
